I got into UX Research & Design because I’ve always had a passion for people, puzzles, and solving tough problems.

When a math problem asks, “Peter buys 36 apples and 22 watermelons. How many pieces of fruit does he have?” I’m thinking about why he’s buying the fruit, if he does this regularly, the fastest way to get him checked out, the best way to get the items loaded into his car, and the best way to store them. I like asking the unusual questions and uncovering unspoken motivations. UX Research and Design is the perfect way for me to channel my interests: identifying problems, researching their root causes, and designing effective, meaningful solutions.

I believe UX experts and the teams they collaborate with are uniquely equipped to turn frustrating experiences into seamless ones. In my ideal world, no one has to complain about clunky websites or automated phone menus wasting their time. Designers, engineers and corporations can work together to create products that make life easier, more equitable, and more fun.
